Textile artisans receive training to boost quality standards

A training program promoted by Indecopi and supported by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) will train Cusco based textile artisans to hone their skills.

The objective of the Norexport training program is to elevate the skills of these artisans to enable to deliver textile and garment products which will help to make these products meet international quality standards.

Among the different training modules is a workshop titled 'Management, implementation and monitoring of textile product technical standards'. This program is expected to pave the way for an increase in exports.
