Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, read with SEBI Master Circular No. SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD2/CIR/P/0155 dated 11.11.2024, we would like to inform you that the Company [DCM Shriram Limited] has commissioned a new state-of-the-art caustic soda flakes plant of 300 TPD capacity at its flagship chemicals complex at Jhagadia, Bharuch district, Gujarat on 31st March 2025 at 10:00 am. With this the total capacity of caustic soda flakes that the Bharuch unit can produce goes up to 900 TPD, making it one of the largest single location caustic soda flakes producing unit in the country. This plant is an identical twin of the unit commissioned last year in October and being flexi-fuel, both these plants allow for multiple fuel choices, thereby providing sustainability & driving efficiencies.Caustic soda (also known as sodium hydroxide) is a highly versatile and widely used industrial chemical, with applications across industries such as textiles, pulp & paper, alumina, soaps & detergents, petroleum refining and water treatment. It is generally sold in 2 physical states, viz liquid (lye) and solid (flakes). Caustic soda flakes allow for the easier long distance transportation and is the preferred product for exports. The Company is the country’s 2nd largest producer of caustic soda, having an installed capacity of one million metric tonnes per annum.
