The exports of synthetic filament fabrics from China during the first half of the current year stood at 4.56 billion metres, showing only a marginal increase of 1.33 percent year-on-year, according to China Customs data.

In terms of value, however, China’s synthetic fabric exports rose by 10.34 percent year-on-year, owing to a reasonable growth in prices.

In contrast, cotton fabric exports from China during January-June period grew by over eight percent year-on-year in volume, but the exports showed a dip of nearly five percent year-on-year in value, due to fall in prices of cotton fabrics.
