Brentano's 'Hill & Dale' magnifies playful angle on luxury

Brentano’s spring Discovery collection puts an acute focus on details, like natural materials and thoughtful lines that introduce luxury for high end interiors, without compromising on wearability.

Taking a creative angle on the understated elegance of the Discovery collection, Hill and Dale magnifies a playful chevron to a bold scale. Two different weft yarns, one a textural boucle of polyester, linen and viscose and the other viscose chenille, define the pattern’s canted lines and give the upholstery a natural softness. In eight striking colorways, 54” Hill and Dale effortlessly fits into residential environments but also passes 70,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek) for contract applications.

Founded in 1990 by Design Director Iris Wang and her husband, President E-Kwan Chen, Brentano has grown from a modest beginning of eight patterns to an internationally represented textile house. Brentano's fabrics stem from Wang's philosophy of balancing beauty + performance.

Their growing collection of eco-fabrics expands this ideology by demanding textiles meet thoroughly researched standards of environmental consciousness while maintaining their beauty. Having celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2010, Brentano continues to offer a variety of innovative and interesting textiles, including eco-friendly faux leather, high performance upholstery, fire-resistant, outdoor, Crypton, Nano-Tex and GreenShield fabrics.
