Tan Phu authorities detain 32 tons of smuggled fabric

Market officials and police authorities of Ho Chi Minh City raided a godown in Tan Phu district on January 4, 2007 and seized 32 tons of illegal fabrics.
Owner of these fabrics confessed that he had partly smuggled them into the country from Taiwan.
Sources informed that the illegal goods were to be supplied to big apparel firms. Authorities detected similar goods at three areas of Cu Chi district.
