Peafowl velvet gets hot response in cold weather

Recently, the peafowl velvet introduced at Changshu commercial town located in Jiangsu Province has attracted a lot of attention in the domestic as well as in the international market.

The peafowl velvet is a unique kind of fabric. According to sources, the peafowl velvet is made of the Terylene DTY150D/144F, knitted on large diameter circular weft knitting machine by tabby and goes through further deep processes like as preshrinking, setting colors and brushing.

This fabric has a breadth of 150cm and weighs about 600 gram per meter. The wholesale price for this is set at around 30 RMB per kilo. It can be produced in blue, rose red, light yellow, grey, violet and dark coffee colours.

The peafowl velvet can be used for producing coats, bath robes, toys and furniture textures. Suits made of this are not only warm but have a gorgeous exterior. After its launch in the market, traders from Beijing, Shandong, Shanghai, Sichuan provinces have ordered for large numbers.
