According to data culled from the China Textile Industry Association, from January to September 2009, China's total imports of cotton fabrics reached 4.58 billion meters, down 9.16 percent year on year.
In the same period, export value totaled to US $5.38 billion, down 15.87 percent year on year and import price fell 7.09 percent year on year.
In September, China's imports of cotton fabrics touched 666.32 million meters, down 19.71 percent year on year and import value added up to $1.18 billion, down 21.11 percent year on year.
