Cotton Fabric production keeps low profile

Cotton fabric production in Japan continues to slide between 10 to 14 percent, during this year.

September was the fifth consecutive month that saw a decline of 11.9 percent at 33.655 million square metres.

The January to September fabric output in total was registered at 322.2 million square metres, a 10.6 percent on annual basis.

With September exports declining 16.2 percent at 15.748 million square metres, monthly exports have also gone down, as a consequence.

During February - September period, monthly exports went down 11.4 percent, up from 20.3 percent.

Ending September, the inventory/shipment ratio stood at 262.6 points.
