China's output of cotton fabrics down in 2011

China's output of cotton fabrics reached 2.88 billion meters in April, a decline of 170 million meters or down 5.57 percent from the previous month; and a decrease of 210 million meters or down 6.8 percent year on year.

In the first four months of 2011, China's total production of cotton fabrics stood at 10.94 billion meters, down 560 million meters year on year, or a decline of 4.87 percent year on year.
