Chinese exports of industrial textiles surge in Q1

China's exports of industrial textiles continued to maintain a good posture in the first quarter of this year.

Export volume and value of main products achieved a double-digit growth compared with the same period of last year.

Export volume of non-woven fabrics jumped 23.3 percent and value heaved 40 percent. Export value of plastic coated cloth increased by 43.6 percent, according to Chinese Customs statistics.

More importantly, unit price of China's industrial textile exports also increased. That of non-woven fabrics rose 13.5 percent and of plastic coated cloth surged 34.7 percent.

As China's key enterprises have increased R&D investment, a number of production lines with internationally advanced level have been put into operation and also have enhanced their competitiveness in international market.

The United States, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Taiwan are major destinations of China's exports of non-woven fabrics.
