Polykote Corporation, a customer-driven company that formulates and produces custom-designed coated materials, has expanded its coating capabilities for wovens and nonwovens. The Easton, Pennsylvania-based company has been coating fabrics for years, but the COVID-19 pandemic has brought this capability to the forefront, as demand has increased.

"Working with a number of different companies on multiple new projects including slitting, perfing and applying custom coatings to client’s materials, Polykote has been able to support increased activity related to COVID-19," the company says on its website.

Utilising its new 62” wide coating line, Polykote is able to achieve a higher efficiency than in the past. Additionally, the increased tension control and drying capacity has allowed the company to coat a wider variety of substrates.

“Polykote is in a great position to meet the increasing coating requests for woven and nonwoven materials. We have increased our throughput and are pursuing larger volume opportunities. This positions Polykote as an excellent partner for coating and laminating wovens and nonwovens,” said Polykote president John Guzzo.
