Singer Pharrell Williams has teamed up with shoe brand Adidas to relaunch the Supershell Superstar Sneaker, according to media reports.

The 42-year-old musician and fashion icon has been busy working with a group of artists to relaunch the shoe using different "creative modes" including "graffiti" and "candid moments captured on film" used as prints on the rubber toe of the garment.

Williams has collaborated with four artists from around the globe; New York contemporary artist Todd James, British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, US photographer and director Cass Bird, and Japanese contemporary artist Mr., each of whom bring their unique vision to the sneaker's toecap.

The footwear is offered in black and white shades that allows the vibrant artworks to take center stage. Adding an additional layer to the concept, each left and right shoe features a different graphic treatment for the ultimate pick 'n' mix collection to create the perfect personal expression.

Talking about his contribution sportswear brand's footwear collection, Williams said, "I appreciate Adidas for having the willingness to open the garments and footwear to be a canvas for all these creative minds. I feel like in everything they do they are curious people."

There will be a global release on August 7, with a limited release and exclusive artworks for different regions around the globe. (SH)
