The conservative Egyptian society today is pondering over the idea of whether to choose a strict coverall or a hipper headscarf.
The revival of Islamic tradition has reduced the number of bare-headed women in Egypt with 80 percent of women wearing veil.
Even though there is no official diktat on the issue, the first lady Suzanne Mubarak herself does not wear one.
On the other hand, face-framing hijab or an easy hair-covering headscarf is a colourful fashion statement.
