In September 2006, apparel accessories exports turnover, including bag, hat and umbrella to Belgium reached over US $5.58 million, up 57.23 percent over previous month and 27.31 percent against same period last year, recording the highest growth rate among all markets.
Experts from MOT forecast that Belgium in whole 2006 would import about $66-$48 million worth of the goods from Vietnam because their import growth in last three months 2006 would go around 20-25 percent.
So far, Belgium was the second biggest importer of Vietnamese apparel accessories behind the US.
Such imports turnover in September contributed to a $48.743 million worth during the first nine months 2006, registered year-on–year increasing of 23.75 percent.
