Finding the prices of tee-shirt going up day by day, Kris Ewton and Katie Kelly both pass out from Cambridge university, decided to design of their own.
To sell their shirts, they started a mouth publicity, which included sending e-mail messages to young professionals and college students they'd met through friends.
The dissatisfaction which led them to create Kovet Kouture, a clothing line that has created a fashion trend in Boston and become a hot commodity among the college crowd, selling on campuses as far away as Vanderbilt University in Nashville and Washington University in St Louis.
Their tee-shirts are also sold on their web site and at the I Boutique store on Newbury Street.
