The Rajasthan Khadi and Gramodyog Board had organized a fashion show to encourage khadi. Bibi Russell, the Bangladeshi fashion designer, had been engaged to present contribution and supervision to create a series of woolen and cotton khadi fabrics and readymade apparel.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje, was the emcee of the show. Attired in a maroon saree with black border, she accompanied actor and model Rahul Dev on the ramp. Top models including Zulfi Sayed, Nethra Raghuraman and Noyonika Chatterjee also exhibited the hand-woven fabric.
Ms Raje's catwalk attracted loud appreciation from the spectators that included Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Juhi Chawla and filmmaker Ashutosh Gowarikar.
