Globally renowned tattoo artist Mike Skiver is giving final touch to a tattoo history museum being built above his piercing and tattoo studio, located at meeting point of Patriot and Center streets.
Museum will showcase primitive stick instruments and needles, which were used to ink tattoos for centuries in glass display cases, followed by forks and pens used for the same.
Skiver is displaying scores of historic temporary tattoos along one side of the entryway, including a group of World War I victory tattoos.
He has collected dozens of exceptional tattoo machines and relics which belong to the 19th century. He believes his museum will inspire people to admire this art.
