The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), or the National Chamber of Italian Fashion recently unveiled a document with a number of proposals to support the fashion industry during the ongoing crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The document was submitted to the prime minister’s office and many ministries working to tackle the outbreak’s economic impact.

The decree ‘Cura-Italia’ has incorporated some of the measures suggested by CNMI, which wishes its other suggestions can be accepted in future measures, CNMI said in a statement.

CNMI has proposed two detailed projects on two particularly important measures.

CNMI is working with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), the ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation and other industry associations on a series of promotion and communication initiatives for the fashion industry, which will be implemented in the second half of the year.

The chamber and its associates are in direct contact with Italian institutions and have reaffirmed to the government their willingness to effectively contribute in this moment of crisis.
