Yogesh Chaudhary
With a quirky name like “In a Box” Yogesh Chaudhary a graduate from NIFT and NID, displayed a collection which was an innovative study of stripes and box pleats. Bringing together the best cottons, knits and silk chiffons, Yogesh created a stylish blend of traditional and contemporary silhouettes and fabrics for a line that was international in visual appeal and style. With knitwear as his forté the separates, dresses and ethnic wear had the perfect touches of Indian craft like mirror work.

Stripes were undoubtedly the focal point of the collection used creatively with pleats for pants and fish tail tops, slashed kaftans, sheer horizontal striped long skirts and a stunning rouched vertical striped gown. From fabulous swimwear to blue striped asymmetric dress, to a complete mirror embellished creation; the collection had many dazzling creative surprises.

The final sari in the stripe story with a peplum edged blouse was truly a perfect end to the collection that had creativity out of the box from the studios of Yogesh Chaudhary.

Archana Rao
“Frou-Frou” was the cute title of Archana Rao's collection and it was a totally wearable practical line with minimalistic touches. Simple silhouettes, clever folds and drapes and interesting ombré effects along with hi-tech fabrics blended with traditional textiles gave an innovative touch to the garments. The colour story was basic with soft tones and faded indigo as the highlight. Inspired by men's wear, there was a marked androgynous touch with an accent on oversized silhouettes and minute detailing to highlight the look.

The sheer polka dotted sweater, the overlap collar dress, the faded indigo cardigan, and jacket, the structured shirt with a sheer skirt and the double cloth pants were all studies in creative construction which Archana scored with. The mix and match options of the collection were very evident while each piece was a super example of eye catching appeal. Herewas a collection from Archana Rao which will be a great conversation piece anywhere and at any time.

Tanya Sharma
With her striking label called “Gaga” Tanya Sharma made an impact on the catwalk with her pop art collection inspired by the colours of India and the rhythm of hip hop, rock and roll and street dance, Tanya used the simple white shirt as the basis for her collection and reinvented it for contemporary tastes. Tanya used Indian fabrics like Chennai lungis and Rajasthani odhanis along with ikat to present a wildly colourful florescent line that was easy to wear, yet daringly different.

Opening the show with a men's wear entry of long white shirt over chintz printed kurta and pants, Tanya followed it with a line of women's wear which ranged from sheer shirts, to a multi fabric sari worn over jeans with a back knotted blouse and revealed a cape cropped jacket a net and cotton embroidered kanji blouse and another neon pink cape and short. Multi fabrics with bouquets of embroidered were the constant detailing in the collection.

Very feminine and Avant Garde in style, direction and visual appeal which will make the Gaga label from Tanya Sharma a must have for fashionistas.
