Rajat K Tangri presents Red Carpet collection @ Lakme ramp

In line with its visionary approach to integrating India into global fashion Australian/Indian designer, Rajat K Tangri's glamorous Red Carpet collection called “Perihelion” had an innovative futuristic New Age touch at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2012.
Presenting a great fashion story, Rajat used exquisite Italian blended cotton, silk, stretch satin and added fabulous embellishments to highlight the creations. There was a hint of androgynous touches as constructed dresses and jumpsuits for women and well-tailored suits for men made an edgy fashion statement.
The colour tones moved from bold neon to dark blacks, which were emphasized by the gun metal hand embroidery again in shimmering neon tones featuring thread, crystal, chains, sequins sheeting and spikes.
Some of the eye catchers were the metallic jacket with neon pink skinny pants, the ostrich feather shrug with gown, while the pony skin leather jacket was hypnotizing with silver metallic pants and the daring top with metal spikes was innovative.
Opening the show with white pleated high waisted palazzos and lime green top and white jacket, Rajat took the audience on a tour of glittering dresses and gowns which included the striking chain jacket, sequin pants and a line of sequin sheeting creations that included cardigan, dress with draped back, a creation with 3D embroidery on the bodice and a regal black organza gown.
Showing just four men's wear entries, Rajat restricted the look to suits, with metallic embroidery for jackets, spiked shoulders, and a tailored suit with embellished lapels. Footwear by Zara and the accessorisation by New York designer, Deepa Gurnani completed the look.
For that dazzling dramatic Red Carpet entry for Him and Her, Rajat K Tangri's “Perihelion” collection will get the cameras clicking for all global fashion followers.
