“The experience has been quite encouraging for new label like ours. Our work was appreciated by almost all. We do have some business queries, all domestic, yet to be confirmed. We have recorded about 8-10 pieces from about 6-7 stores. So all in all, it was a nice experience,” said designers Khushboo and Prem.
Designers Mayank Anand and Shraddha Nigam said, “Our experience at LFW was really good this season as well. We had a steady footfall of buyers at our stall from the first day itself. The source, with its new layout and the increased number of stalls, was much bigger and busier. A lot of domestic and international buyers have placed orders with us. Finally, the Talent Box shows have become popular and people are aware about them."
“Lakmé Fashion Week was an excellent platform for me to make my debut. The exposure was tremendous and so was the buyer interest in my brand. I'm super excited and already looking forward to my participation in the next season”, said first time participating designer Pia Pauro.
Sharing his experience designer Jatin Varma said, “Business at LFW was great with the right mix of buyers from Stain Mart with huge buying capacity to the middle-eastern boutique buyers. I am looking forward to the next season already.”
Buyers Speak: “This season of Lakmé Fashion Week was fantastic. We have started working with several new designers like Soumitra Mondal, Sougat Paul, Ilk and Priyal Prakash and we will continue to work with designers like Neha Agarwala, Paromita Banerjee, Vaishali Sahandagule and Mayank & Shraddha as well. Shruti Sancheti's collection was outstanding and we are doing grand preview with her. The new Source layout was refreshing and was also a psychological change. Designers were present in their own stalls, were easily accessible and more serious towards the business they were doing. We were all very happy to do business in our own space and saw some great quality work, said Nilesh Parashar, owner of Ahmedabad based store - Nautanky.
“Lakmé Fashion Week this season managed to go beyond all expectations in terms of organizing the event and providing something for everyone present at the venue. The source was definitely the major attraction this season in its new look and approach. We have seen some great new talent and the way designers professionally conducted business with buyers was another highlight of the season. We at FUEL have placed our largest orders this season compared to all other LFW's,” said Sushil & Falguni Jhaveri of Fuel.
Radhika Dhawan of First Row said, “It was a great experience this season at LFW. There were many new names among the designers which was refreshing. We loved the new design of the source and how it was made so well to be fair to allndesigners. There was no way as a buyer that I could miss any stall. The Talent Box is a great initiative and we saw some amazing talent there as well”.
