Dedicated to the item girl and boy of Bollywood, Rohan Arora’s collection called “Item” at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 had all the glitz and glamour of the inspiration. With strong colours and designs, the very dazzling footwear was crafted from a variety of eye catching materials like brocade, satin, sheep skin, pure silk and hand woven khadi.

For women, there were wedges with ghungroos and floral embroidery on the uppers as well as multi coloured fabrics to create the mood of the Item girl. Cute embroidered slip-ons also appeared in bright hues and looked very festive as they were edged with beads or bells to create innovative fun footwear.

For men there were comfortable no nonsense styles for moccasins and lace ups with black embroidery on the bright leather which ranged from mauve, blue, beige to mid brown and maroon.

Adding on clever touches of intricate traditional embroidery, Rohan Arora’s shoes were a riot of colour ideal for brides and grooms, as well as casual easy comfort.
