Nineteen FIT fashion design students have been chosen to design two to three garments drawing inspiration from New York City. Their designs will be showcased in a live runway show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City where a winner will be announced.
The fashion show will be live-streamed at 7:30 pm EST on Friday, September 7 from Lincoln Center on Elle website.
Following the runway show, guest judges will determine two grand prize winners who will take home prizes including the ELLE FASHION | NEXT Design Award and the Maybelline New York Design Visionary Award.
The judges include fashion industry leaders Alexis Bittar, Catherine Malandrino, Wes Gordon, Cristina Ricci, and Brad Goreski, as well as ELLE creative director Joe Zee and ELLE fashion news director Anne Slowey.
