The fight against fashion piracy is a critical issue within the fashion industry and one in which the CFDA and eBay aim to target and educate shoppers about. Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, states “Educating shoppers about the dangers of counterfeits is now more important than ever, and it’s an issue that’s incredibly important to both eBay and CFDA.”
This year 90 designers have customized a one-of-a-kind tote adding their own original flair to support this important initiative. Alan Marks, eBay’s Senior Vice President of Global Communications explains, “We are thrilled with the number and caliber of designers involved in the sale, highlighting the third year of our partnership with CFDA. The designers are bringing great energy and creativity to this signature campaign.”
