Returning to the beautiful land of Greece where the sultry goddesses roamed for centuries, Pia Pauro journeyed to this historic land for her “Grecian Goddess” collection at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2013.

The picturesque islands of Greece, the tranquil blue seas surrounding them and pristine white architecture set Pia’s creativity racing as the resort wear flowed down the runway.

Hints of her inspirations revolved around the folklore of that colourful land, the art works on ceramic vases and the lush golden wine leaves. Even the signs of the zodiac crept in gently to highlight the languid relaxing silhouettes.

Choosing her base fabric from cotton and georgette, Pia added Grecian touches and presented a feminine sexy line ideal for lounging on the silver sands. White, turquoise, navy and yellow were interspersed with Mykonous, nomad and Neptune prints for sundresses embellished with hand embroidery and sequins.

The off- shoulder mini and white kurta had colourful thread work. The sexy bikini, the shift dress and jumpsuit were ideal fun wear.

The final three white creations with gold embroidery were the perfect ‘evening by the beach’ selections that will cause a stir at any holiday event. Adding very feminine gold Grecian high heels and the eye-catching embroidered bags, Pia completed the European look.

“Bring out the ‘Grecian Goddess’ in you,” said Pia Pauro and many women will give fashionable thumbs up to that statement.
