Staying within the boundaries of a contemporary young look that emphasised simple silhouettes, the pair often combined mint green with printed trousers and jackets. The leaf print was added to create the beauty of the theme, while clever touches reworked the fine network of veins in wrinkled layers for the garments.
Soft hues of pale blue gauze were splashed with intricate embroidery to highlight a blouse. The boxy bandage choli and the frail sari with loads of foliage embellishments on the pallav fitted the theme perfectly.
Shifts were covered with textured leaf designs, blue draped gowns had encrusted bodices and the handmade texturing with tapes gave the slim dresses a lot of character. The leaf print was visible on sheer blouses, while the 3D embroidery made the boleros stunning.
Keeping the colour story to blues and greens, the fragile fabrics were given an almost garden like treatment for the saris, dresses, suits, blouses and skirts.
It was sheer glamour that highlighted the natural beauty of nature when Shikha and Vinita offered a bouquet of fashion to the appreciative audience.
