Showing a textile centric line of finely crafted eight garments, Swati Kalsi proved her mastery over the intricate thread embroidery using the beautiful traditional Sujani technique of Bihar.

Cleverly marrying and miss-matching crafts of artisans with contemporary touches; Swati presented a line of timeless creations.

With Indian tussore as the base, the three dresses and five ensemble pieces with their layered coordinated inners, gave the collection a sleek elegant look. The earthy tones of blue, grey and ivory formed the key hues with generous accents of orange and yellow.

The loose languid shapes of the tunics and dresses, some with asymmetric hemlines and minute embroidery, which covered the complete garments or were at times given a placement touch, proved that Indian craft looks amazing when it is merged with western silhouettes.

The grey knee length coat with a purple skirt and bandeau top, the asymmetric dress with a cropped bolero, the flowing purple blue cover over a simple dress and the grey soft jacket atop a mini, were delicate and feminine. The final long wrap gown was sheer luxury on the ramp.

The added highlights of Swati Kalsi’s collection were the gladiator sandals that were perfectly teamed with garments along with heritage Indian jewellery.
