The collection called 'Little Poets' was based on the essence and tradition within North Africa and its tribes.
Rich in culture, the line merged Indian techniques with African concepts, which translated onto unique asymmetrical silhouettes to create blazers, tunics, trousers, shorts, shirts, skirts and saris. Fabrics were chiffon, linens, cotton, matka, khadi and Assamese weaves.
These were perfected with Indigo dyes and colours like pink, beige, powder blue, red, brown and black for a celebratory feel, which was a contrast to the harsh dessert lands.
Hand tucked embroidery, pearls, buttons as well as stitched sequins and patterns helped add a story line to each piece. A trademark design concept were the eye-catching pleating techniques, which gave the illusion of fullness and added grace to one's form.
Ethnic with a taste of foreign culture, this grand collection by Priyangsu Maji and Sweta Tantia is sure to become every woman’s secret obsession!
