Farah Sanjana’s collection ‘The Flamboyance of Flamingos’ at the Jabong Stage during Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014 was a youthful celebration of warm tones, emulating a charming and feminine appeal.

Inspired by the Flamingos from France; the designer aimed at capturing the calmness, grace, form and beauty and incorporated it in her collection.

Soft and delicate fabrics like flowing georgette, soft net, silk crepe and stretch Elastane transformed into romantic, modern silhouettes. Cropped tops, flirty-flowing skirts, palazzo pants, cigarette pants, bikini tops, sheer cover-ups and short dresses were a great mix of style.

To further add to the mix, saris helped to give just the right ethnic touch to this range.

The colour palette of the collection was a refreshing blend of hot pink, sky blue, Hawaiian orange and candy orange with each piece being exquisitely embellished with metal and leather accessories.

An outfit which particularly stood out was a gorgeous printed net kaftan paired with shorts and a cross-tie tube top which was perfect for any beach bunny ready to frolic in the sun.

Bold, fun and vibrant, ‘The Flamboyance of Flamingos’ by Farah Sanjana; will surely have women feeling fantastically fabulous.
