Mr. Vasant Mehta having been elected as Vice-Chairman has equal enthusiasm for taking the Gems & Jewellery Industry to a more professional level.
He mentioned that, “My role would be to strongly support and implement the Chairman's vision for the industry as well as add on my own initiatives for the coming year. Personally I consider this as a biggest challenge especially at the moment when Industry is undergoing testing time. I believe that with the support of trade members and Government of India we would definitely achieve the best for Indian Gem & Jewellery Industry”.
While handing over, Mr. Bakul R. Mehta, ex-chairman, GJEPC commented, “I am pleased to hand over the task to Mr. Kothari, who will take my efforts ahead with much fervor. I am sure his vision and objectives will take the Gems & Jewellery industry to the next level. I had a good stint as a Chairman of the Council and have always enjoyed working for the Industry. I will continue to do so as Convener-Diamond Panel Committee for the current tenure”.
