A 'Theme Pavilion' titled 'India Inspired' had been setup jointly by ITPO, CLRI and CLE projecting investment opportunities in leather sector, trends, colours and styles for the forthcoming seasons.
A number of concurrent events which included Buyer-Seller Meets with buyers from LAC/CIS/AFRICA/ASEAN countries, Seminars and Presentations were organised during the fair which added to the business-centric ambience of the fair.
IILF 2007 attracted an overwhelming visitor response. Over 10,000 trade visitors and buyers visited the event. On the invitation of ITPO and Council for Leather Exports (CLE) a number of buyers from LAC/CIS/AFRICA/ASEAN countries visited the fair.
Feedback received from participants indicated that their objective of participation was fully achieved. More than 99% of the participants reaffairmed their intention to participate in IILF 2008 edition, scheduled to be held in Chennai Trade Centre during January 31-February 3, 2008.
The event was organized by ITPO in close collaboration with CLE and leather associations like Central Leather Research Institute, Indian Shoe Federation, Indian Footwear Leather Manufacturers & Exporters Association, Footwear Design & Development Institute, and Indian Finished Leather Manufacturers Association.
