WSA footwear show at Las Vegas from July 30 to Aug 1

To save buyers time and facilitate moving through the massive LVCC, two transportation systems have been created: the Shoebook Express, sponsored by The Shoebook, the online database directory of product for retailers launched by WSA in April, with continuous service between five stops; and golf cart shuttles connecting the LVCC Central and South Halls.
New frontage for Children's and Handbags are indications of growth in these categories. The upcoming show will feature more than 600 brands of Children's footwear, a significant increase from the February 2007 show. Handbags at both The WSA Show and The Collections at WSA are demonstrating strength, as well, as consumer interest at higher price points continues to build.
The WSA Show schedule will be 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Mon. & Tues., July 30 & 31 and 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Wed., Aug. 1.
Key events during the show include: • Style Walk Lounge at WSA - Mon. – Wed., July 30 – Aug. 1. Exhibitors will showcase the season's most exciting collections in exclusive, live fashion shows throughout the day. LVCC Grand Lobby.
• Footwear & Accessories Business Conference at WSA – Mon. – Wed., July 30 – Aug. 1. Affordable one-hour sessions will focus on key trends, merchandising and business topics critical to making the right buying decisions, increasing sales and improving profitability for footwear buyers and retailers.
• Opening Night at WSA – Mon., July 30, 8:30 p.m., atthe Orleans Arena. Featuring Stevie Nicks and Hall & Oates to benefit Soles4Souls and Two Ten Footwear Foundation. Cocktail reception, 6:30 p.m.
• The Glass Slipper Awards/Super Slipper Auction & Cocktail Party – Tues., July 31, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at TAO in The Venetian Hotel. The Collections at WSA's charity silent auction to benefit The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund followed by a cocktail party.
• ecoEthics Conference – Wed., Aug. 1, 7:30-9:00 a.m. Learn practical and profitable environmental solutions as the industry thinks green. LVCC, Rm. N259.
• Student Design Competition – Wed., Aug. 1, 2:00 p.m. The WSA Show will award scholarships to six design students in an official presentation. LVCC, Grand Lobby.
