On Sunday, October 14 at the Chase Promenade North in Chicago's Millennium Park, The Allure of Couture, a fashion show and reception that celebrates the artistry of new and established designers in the Chicago area, will bring Fashion Focus Chicago 2007 to a close.
Individual tickets are $125 each for the VIP reception and fashion show and $75 each for the fashion show only.
The Allure of Couture showcases designers whose design philosophy has been influenced by their diverse heritage and cultural experiences.
"The basic concept for the Fashion Focus Chicago finale show is rooted in the rich history of Chicago's ethnic communities, known for their diversity and the immigrant neighborhoods and cultures that the city is founded on," said
The Allure of Couture producer Barbara Samuels, a member of the Mayor's Fashion Advisory Council, Columbia College adjunct faculty and fashion director at N'Digo.
The Allure of Couture's goal is to bridge the gap between ethnic and mainstream fashion by enhancing consumer awareness and interest in ethnic fashion and demonstrate how these designers impact the global fashion industry.
The Allure of Couture also strives to inspire the next generation of craftsmen to learn the importance of maintaining tradition.
The fashion show will showcase the talents of high-end and state-of-the art fashion and accessory brands for women and men including Barbara Bates, Jack Cave, Nick Cave, James de Colon, Sujata Gazder, D'Wayne Lonzo, Horacio Nieto, PriceWalton, Kristina Sparks, Double Stitch and Sylwia Wilczynska.
Fashion Focus Chicago 2007 is a six-day celebration of Chicago's fashion industry from October 9 October 14. Fashion Focus Chicago 2007 is presented by the City of Chicago with various Chicago industry organizations, schools, agencies and independent designers.
