The Second Asian Apparel Conference (AAC) is being organized by the Asian Apparel Federation (AAF) at the Renaissance Mumbai Hotel & Convention Center, Mumbai from November 22 to 23, 2007.
The Second Edition of AAC is being hosted in India by The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), the Largest Association of the Indian Apparel Industry, representing over 20,000 leading Manufacturers, Exporters, Brands & Retailers across India. The first Edition was held last year in Beijing, China.
This Conference with a theme on 'Asia: Moving Beyond A Global Apparel Source' hosted by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) will bring together the Decision Makers in the Asian Apparel Business to delve upon issues of common business interest, review Global Market situation and derive common growth strategy for mutual benefits of Asian Countries.
Asian Apparel Federation is the apex organization of the Asian Apparel Industry. Its Member countries include China, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Korea, Cambodia, Hong Kong & Macau. AAC is being held in one of the 10 Member Countries, by rotation, every year.
Asia is today the most efficient manufacturing hub for apparel and fashion accessories in the world. Intense competition amongst Asian exporters to get higher share of limited western markets and increasing tendency of buyers to pass on the cost of Designing, Product Development, Sampling etc. to their vendors is eroding the Asian exporter's profitability.
