Sri Lankan students complete 'Skill Development Programme for Footwear'

Sri Lankan students complete 'Skill Development Programme for Footwear Manufacturing Technology' from Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Noida, India.

A batch of 9 students namely Mr. W. Dinesh Karunadasa, Mr. M.M.D. Tharaka Nayana Kumara, Mr. T. Chathura Lankapriya Perera, Mr. Attanayakage Nanayakkara, Miss. A.K. Nayana Krishanthi Kumari, Mr. D.A.D. Thushith Neil Wijeratne, Miss R.A. Mihiri Nidukani Ruwanpriya Rajapakse, Miss M.T. Sudarshani & Mr. H.M. Janith Chandimal had successfully completed 'Skill Development Programme for Footwear Manufacturing Technology' course from Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Noida.

On this occasion, Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, said,“ The specialized training module of this course was such that it balanced the academic training and industrial experience.”

The students were sponsored by the Ministry of Industrial Development, Govt of Sri Lanka for three months duration programme, which had commenced in the month of September and completed in November 2007.

Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary, FDDI, said, “The batch after the successful completion of the training are definitely going to be the trendsetter as they are equipped with the latest technological upgradation of the footwear fashion world.”
