Students of Footwear Design and Development Institute participated in the WWF Quiz Competition, which was sponsored by World Wildlife Federation at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi on 1st of November 2007.
Various institutes participated in the preliminary round, out of which four teams were selected for the final round. There was one team from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)- Delhi (Team A), one from FDDI (Team B) & two teams from NIFT (Team C & D).
According to Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, “Its indeed a matter of pride that the students of FDDI are aware & concerned about planet's natural environment and are trying their best to attain WWF's mission which is to stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.”
Mr. Nilay Kumar and Mr. Shivanjai Jain of Post Graduate Diploma in Retail Management (PGDRM) of second year represented FDDI.
The team from FDDI did exceptionally well and put up a tough fight. It came first runner's up behind IIT-Delhi who was the winner. The World Wildlife Federation honored the participants with souvenirs and cash prize.
