Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo has named Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif as its inaugural brand ambassador for the Indian market, the company said on its social media handles. The one-year collaboration will feature Kaif in Uniqlo's advertising films and promotional material, primarily focusing on the brand’s ‘LifeWear’ range of everyday apparel.

In her debut campaign film, Kaif showcases how to style Uniqlo's signature fleece jacket. The actress will appear in promotional content across both digital and offline platforms.

This strategic move by the Tokyo-based company comes just ahead of its Western India market launch, with two stores slated to open in Mumbai next month.

“So excited to be joining Uniqlo, one of my favourite clothing brands. I love the brand for its style, simplicity, and elegance,” said Kaif in her latest Instagram post.
