To celebrate the 400 years of Hispano-Japanese bilateral relations, the famous Spanish luxury fashion house Loewe has joined hands with the prolific Japanese fashion designer Junya Watanabe to launch a clothing and accessory collection.

Unveiled recently at the Spanish embassy in Tokyo, the new capsule range, celebrating the core fashion sensibilities of both the brands, featured nearly 24 pieces made of Spanish leather and Japanese denim.

To be available in stores from August, 2013, onwards, the limited edition ready-to-wear clothing line includes Texas style jackets with leather patchwork, miniskirts and denim pants.

A protégé of the internationally famous Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons, Junya Watanabe is known for using synthetic and technologically advanced textiles and fabrics in his designs.

Founded in 1846, Madrid-based Loewe specializes in luxury leather goods.
