Coca Cola, the famous American beverage maker, has roped in Los Angeles-based fashion designer Darren Romanelli, popularly known as DRx, to create a high-end capsule range.

Inspired from Coke branded clothing found in flea markets and vintage stores worldwide, the collection is stitched from pieced-together Coca-Cola garments, such as workwear, uniforms and the delivery truck drivers’ jackets, sourced from the 1960s through the 1990s.

Enhanced with multiple patchwork designs, the 200-piece, newly unveiled vintage-style line features bomber and biker jackets, hoodies, shirts and vests.

Titled as ‘Coca-Cola by DRx’, the collection is available for sale in some select stores in New York, Paris, London, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Toronto, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

In the past, the Atlanta-based soft drink manufacturer had collaborated with the American band Black Eyed Peas’ member will.I.am to create a clothing line from recycled materials.

Other than will.I.am, the multinational corporation had launched several other fashion collections in partnership with various well-known brands and designers like D&G, Jack Spade, JCDC, Uniqlo and Marc Jacobs.

The Coca-Cola Company-branded merchandise generates more than US$ 1 billion of revenue annually.
