This Christmas season, the 72-year-old fashion designer-cum-environmentalist Dame Vivienne Westwood has a new eco-friendly gift in store for her ardent fans.

The English design veteran has created a limited edition scarf collection, which can be used alternatively as gift wrappers, for Lush, a UK-based handmade natural cosmetics brand that is actively involved in fighting issues related to climate change.

Dubbed as Climate Revolution Knot-Wrap, the line’s pink and beige hued 15,000 pieces are woven using 100 percent organic cotton by British artisans.

Scheduled to be available from November 18, 2013 onwards in Lush stores, the scarves are embossed with Climate Revolution and Westwood’s Active Resistance website links.

Born in Tintwistle, Derbyshire, Vivienne Westwood is been largely credited for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream.

Founded in 1995, Lush operates through a network of more than 830 stores in over 51 countries.
