Colombia-based fashion designer Miguel Caballero has unveiled a high-end clothing line that is completely bulletproof, in New York.
All pieces in the new Black range that includes suits, polo shirts and leather jackets, are custom-made and have an ability to withstand varying degrees of firearm attacks. Being very light and flexible, these look like any other non-bulletproof apparel items.
Each bulletproof apparel item has removable layers of nylon-polyester-based fabric, which need to be separated before giving it a wash.
However, once a wearer of this bullet-proof apparel is shot, the piece cannot be put on again and has to be replaced.
Caballero brand currently consist of four different ranges. The latest high-end Black collection has suits, shirts, and leather and woolen jackets. The Gold collection is for casual wear, while the Classic range is for police and military personnel, and the Silver range is meant for security professionals.
