Italian fashion house Versace has opened its first children's boutique in Milan.
The new retail venture Young Versace caters to boys and girls from 0 to 12 years old.
The store will offer the line's inaugural Spring 2012 collection, which includes zipper-detailed tops, studded hoodies and skirts with the brand's key motif.
Fairytale dresses and mini-suits with silk cummerbunds are also part of the kidswear designs for the inaugural collection.
The Young Versace collection is aimed at children who want to stand out from the crowd, according to Donatella Versace, Chief Designer of the Versace Group.
The new line is a high-end colourful collection that goes with the brand's essence.
With the new boutique, Versace has joined a list of luxury labels that have entered the kids fashion market such as Lanvin, Roger Vivier and Jean Paul Gaultier.
The Young Versace collection will also be available in leading specialty boutiques and department stores worldwide.
