American fashion designer Zac Posen has launched a new affordable collection of his Z Spoke label to be sold exclusively at Lord & Taylor stores.
The young designer, known for high-fashion gowns, designed the new collection of dresses using the sales data of the mid-tier department store to research fabric choices and colours of shoppers.
The new collection is targeted at women who are trend-driven, flirtatious and socially savvy.
Although the new line has a youthful quality, it would cater to diverse shapes and age-groups.
If the new apparel range does well, Zac will consider creating an affordable accessories line.
Lord & Taylor, based in New York City, is the oldest upscale, specialty-retail department store chain in the United States.
