British fashion designer Alice Temperley, who owns the label Temperley London, is designing an exclusive collection for UK department store John Lewis.

The new collection will be named Somerset after Alice's home county, and is expected to arrive in 29 John Lewis outlets and online on September 4, 2012.

'Somerset by Alice Temperley' collection will feature a complete range of fashionable apparels and accessories inspired from Victorian and Bohemian influences as well as military and print elements.

The 60 piece collection for Autumn/Winter 2012 will have Alice's signature high-end detail and design while maintaining an affordable price range. It will be a blend of traditional materials with pony skin textures and other elements to give a feminine look.

For the first collaboration between Alice and John Lewis, the UK department store plans to launch a multi-million pound promotion campaign featuring well-known UK model Lily Donaldson.

Alice would also create another collection for the British brand, mainly consisting of party wear, for launch in October.
