The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City has upgraded its online collection by posting an array of 875 exquisite images of more than 600 apparels.

The idea of the online expansion has sprung from the museum’s about-to-be-released trilingual book, “Fashion Designers, A-Z: The Collection of The Museum at FIT,” which is based on fashion designers and their creations.

The recently upgraded e-museum’s collection includes images of silk corsets, satin ball gowns and ‘Mondrian’ dresses.

The e-museum has also introduced a search box, which will allow viewers to access previous collections with ease.

Founded in 1969, the Museum at FIT is one of the select groups of specialized fashion museums across the world. The museum’s online inventory offers pictures of garments dating back from the 18th century to the present.
