Fashion design firm Rachna Collections opens new US outlet

Rachna Collections produces sarees, dresses, anarkalis, shawls, churidar pyjamas, bags, footwear, jewelry and bridal wear for the modern South Asian woman. The attention to detail and rich, luxurious fabrics have carved out a sophisticated boutique niche for Rachna Collections, which first opened in Massachusetts in 2011, the company said. Rachna Collections, which has a location in New Delhi, India, has relocated its Bay State store to Wakefield from Waltham.

"We are very excited to be offering the South Asian community in Massachusetts a new showroom and store for Rachna Collections," said Rachna Dhir, founder and president of Rachna Collections. "Every piece in my collection is one-of-a-kind and will never be reproduced, making each visit to our Wakefield showroom a unique and special activity."

Rachna Dhir has more than 25 years of experience in the garment industry by combining elements of Indian and Western fashion. She said she founded Rachna Collections in India in 2009 after her many trips to the United States inspired her to make sophisticated and high-end designs that enhance and reflect each wearer's personality.

Every Rachna Collections piece is one-of-a-kind and will never be reproduced, according to the company.
