Yoko Ono, the Japanese artist known widely as the widow of late Beatles’ founder John Lenon, has unveiled a quirky menswear line titled 'Fashions for Men: 1969-2012' inspired by a series of her own drawings which she gifted to her husband on the occasion of their wedding in the year 1969.

Launched in collaboration with the New York-based multi-faceted retail establishment Opening Ceremony, the limited-edition collection includes 18 styles with 52 separate pieces.

The clothing line, adorned with eccentric and cheeky motifs, features eyelet tank tops, mesh pullovers with round cut-outs, wool suit trousers with hand emblems, well-tailored blazers and hoodies.

The collection will be available for sale in Opening Ceremony’s stores in New York, Los Angeles and London from November 30, 2012 onwards.

79-year-old Yoko Ono is mainly credited for her avant-garde work in the creative fields of art, music and film-making.
