Popular American musician-turned designer Kanye West has joined French label A.P.C to design a capsule menswear clothing collection for the brand.

The new line ‘A.P.C. KANYE’ would be a three-piece collection comprising of denim, T-shirt and a hoodie for men, according to APC.

A.P.C as a brand is known for its understated branding and stitching minimalist designs, with an urban touch.

The 36-year-old rapper debuted into fashion designing by launching a ready-to-wear apparel line titled ‘DW by Kanye West’ collection, at the high profile fashion event ‘Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012’ in September 2011.

West was one of the 20 designers who were chosen to design a limited-edition collection for Japanese clothing retailer A Bathing Ape (Bape) earlier this year.

He also contributed to creation of a 25-piece capsule collection titled Diesel+EDUN, an initiative that Italian design firm Diesel launched in partnership with ethical brand Edun with an aim to highlight Africa’s rich fashion heritage.
