A sophisticated elegance, which finds its roots in the uniquely Italian flare for being well-dressed, defines Genny spring/summer 2014 collection.

The focus is on feminine clothes, which exalt the body, without constricting it. They highlight the waist and follow the curves.

Designed to take women from morning to night, the collection explores the contrast between structures and fluidity, textured and impalpable fabrics.

Sharp-cut silk cady daywear separates feature jackets that convert to vests paired with clean, fluid pants. Unveiling a more pronounced femininity, over-the-knee length knitted dresses have draped bodices and full skirts.

Adding a graphic touch to the lineup, a Genny logo print in black, red and white creates 3-D effects on salmon-pink crepe de chine pieces, while an archive motif of rope knots celebrates the brand’s heritage.

Mainly printed in gold on silk chiffon, it also comes embroidered with red Murano glass beads and Swarovski crystals to decorate flowing gowns with plunging V-necks.

Ultra-soft leather is worked into a jumpsuit with slightly flared pants, echoing Seventies’ deconstructed silhouettes, while a short-sleeved mini dress in pale lilac shaved fur is embellished with a sheer tulle illusion intarsia.
