Alpaca Couture, the Wisconsin-based clothier, is soon going to make its international debut with its new collection ‘Freedom’ at the forthcoming season of Fashion Week Las Vegas (FWLV).

The new range is made from a variety of fabrics such as silk, chiffon, taffeta and the label’s signature soft, durable, luxurious alpaca wool, derived from the domesticated llama lookalike American camelid.

Designed by the brand’s 50-year-old Wales-born creative director Antonella Commatteo, the 15-piece handcrafted line includes nine women’s and six men’s ensembles, reports htrnews.com

Alpaca Couture is one of the first US design companies to turn US-developed alpaca fibres into high-end fashion pieces. The firm promotes North American produced alpaca fabrics from herds within the United States.

Scheduled to take place from February 17 to 21, 2014, the fourth season of FWLV will coincide with the largest apparel convention in the world Market Week, due to be held in Las Vegas.

The semi-annual FWLV, which would include both private events and runway shows, will serve as a platform for international designers to showcase their collections before buyers, retailers and fashion media.
